Annual MKB Status 2018

The Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship was created by the Ministry of Economy and Climate to stimulate entrepreneurship in the Netherlands. The Committee focuses on strengthening the growth potential of small and medium-sized enterprises
-midden en kleinbedrijf (MKB). Each year, the Committee publishes a trend analysis in the form of the "Annual Report on the Status of SMEs." Her Majesty Queen Máxima was present at the presentation of the 'Annual State of SMEs 2018' of the Dutch Committee for Entrepreneurship to Secretary of State Mona Keijzer of Economic Affairs and Climate. The presentation takes place during a working visit to the company Corrosion in Moerkapelle. Queen Máxima is a member of the Committee. Corrosion started 25 years ago as a specialist in corrosion protection of steel structures in the shipbuilding sector. By adapting to a changing market, the company is now an international leader in the field of environmentally friendly protection of off shore wind turbines and has its own research laboratory. Corrosion now also has offices in China, Vietnam, Germany and agencies in 30 countries. The company is a good example of the importance of adaptability of entrepreneurs to market changes, one of the main themes of the annual report.
