French President in Washinghton




President of France Macron’s three-day state visit to Washington took place from April 23 to 25, 2018. It was the first foreign leader hosted by the Trump White House for a state visit, and his trip came in the wake of France’s participation alongside the United Kingdom in U.S.-led airstrikes against the Assad regime in Syria. France's President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte received with a warm welcome to the White House by The American President Donald Trump and his wife Melania. The French first couple arrived at the president's mansion just after 9 am by limousine, where they were greeted by a military band on the White House's South Lawn. Thereafter, Melania Trump and Brigitte Macron visited the works of Paul Cezanne at the National Gallery of Art. The first ladies of the United States and France toured an exhibit of about 60 portraits by the French post-Impressionist painter.

Design Institute Amman in March 2017

Her Majesty Queen Rania on Monday visited the Design Institute Amman (DIA) in support of Jordan’s design industry and met with designers enrolled in its courses and workshops.  The Queen was welcomed by the Founding Director of the institute, Randa Jabaji, who gave her a tour of some of the facility’s workshops and classrooms, according to a statement from Her Majesty’s office.  Queen Rania participated in a discussion with 16 designers, moderated by Jabaji and Amman Design Week co-director Abeer Seikaly.  The debate focused on the status of design education in Jordan, the need to increase awareness about the sector and collaboration between the DIA and the Amman Design Week team.   Her Majesty’s first stop was the institute’s Jewellery Lab, a space dedicated to classes and workshops on the art of jewellery making and design, she  also met with students from the institute’s graphic design classroom, where the introductory-level graphic design programme is taught and  participated in a
