French President in Washinghton




President of France Macron’s three-day state visit to Washington took place from April 23 to 25, 2018. It was the first foreign leader hosted by the Trump White House for a state visit, and his trip came in the wake of France’s participation alongside the United Kingdom in U.S.-led airstrikes against the Assad regime in Syria. France's President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte received with a warm welcome to the White House by The American President Donald Trump and his wife MelaniaThe French first couple arrived at the president's mansion just after 9 am by limousine, where they were greeted by a military band on the White House's South Lawn. Thereafter, Melania Trump and Brigitte Macron visited the works of Paul Cezanne at the National Gallery of Art. The first ladies of the United States and France toured an exhibit of about 60 portraits by the French post-Impressionist painter.
