  At the exhibition “The Golden Age of Danish Painting”, more than 200 works by Denmark's leading artists in the period from 1801 to 1864 are being displayed.  The exhibition is organized jointly by the Statens Museum for Kunst (SMK) in Copenhagen and the Nationalmuseum of Stockholm. Inspired by new forms of architecture that emerged after the Copenhagen fire of 1795, between 1800-1864, Danish painting entered its golden age as artists started painting scenes from everyday life in greater detail than ever before.

  DanChurchAid’s Wefood stores sell food, cosmetics and household products that cannot be sold in ordinary supermarkets because they are close to the expiration date, incorrectly labeled or have damaged packaging. The wefood store is run by volunteers and all profits go to fight hunger in the world’s poorest countries.  The Stop Wasting Food Movement also announced that the French Embassy to Denmark will host the Annual Stop Wasting Food International Dinner in 2021. The dinner won’t be held in 2020 because of the COVID-19 crisis.

  T he organization supports the world’s poorest in their fight for a dignified life and helps people in need. DanChurchAid provides emergency relief in disaster-stricken areas and long-term development aid in poor areas to create a more equal and sustainable world. Princess Marie of Denmark attended the meeting where she addressed the organization’s 730 employees around the world.  She  is Patron of DanChurchAid since 2011.  During the meeting, challenges caused by COVID-19 in refugee camps were discussed. Representatives of DanChurchAid’s youth department NOW told about their emergency bingo events in Denmark, which at the same time inform and create income. Staff from Ethiopia and Mali also talked about their work in the countries.

An adorable new video of the Cambridge children quizzing Sir David Attenborough was released  helping to publicize  David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet ,  new documentary that debuts on Netflix in the USA  . Each has a question about the natural world for the acclaimed broadcaster and natural historian. It is the first time we have heard the children speaking so clearly.  

  The Duchess of Cambridge met with families and various organisations at Battersea Park in London to hear how the families have been helped during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Duchess also received information about how peer support groups have continued to support parents during lockdown.  Representatives of networks including Home-Start, National Childbirth Trust and MUSH gave information to the Duchess about how they had struggled to meet up during lockdown and how important access to outside space had been to parents’ health and wellbeing.

  Prince Albert, Princess Caroline and Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi attended an outdoor concert by Cecilia Bartoli and the Musicians of Prince-Monaco on the new Place du Casino. The renowned mezzo-soprano singer Cecilia Bartoli, and Les Musiciens du Prince Monaco , the orchestra of ancient instruments, revive the tradition of princely, royal and imperial court music from 17th and 18th century Europe.  The concert was organized by the Société des Bains de Mer and the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. The concert became the very first cultural event to take place on the new Place du Casino, whose esplanade was renovated last spring. This new open and flexible configuration now makes it possible to host such public events. For almost one and a half hour, the Italian mezzo-soprano performed, under the direction of the Conductor Gianluca Capuano, the greatest arias by Charpentier, Handel, Rossini and Barberis in front of 200 guests.

  Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended a preview of the theatre performance “Om jag säger något blir det bara värre…” at Stockholm House of Culture- Kulturhuset Stadsteatern.  The performance is a collaboration between Fryshuset and the Prince Couple’s Foundation.  Fryshuset is a Swedish non-profit youth organization that works to improve young people’s life conditions by creating opportunities for them to find and develop their creativity, skills and motivation.
