Son Roca in Palma

 








King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, accompanied by their daughters, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, visited the Naüm Socio-Educational project in Son Roca neighborhood in Palma. The project (Proyecto socioeducativo Naüm) gives support and assistance to 216 vulnerable families in the neighbourhoods of Son Roca, Son Ximelis, Son Anglada, Son Serra and La Vileta. The Naüm Socio-Educational Project was started in 2000 by the congregation of the Sisters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, to fulfil needs identified in these neighborhoods. The president of the Balearic Government, Francina Armengol, the Minister of Education and Professional Training, Isabel Celaá, as well as the Minister of Social Affairs and Sports, Fina Santiago and the president of the Consell de Mallorca, Catalina Cladera, accompanied the Royal Family during their visit.
